About the Business
The practice dates back to the early years of the 20th century. It was located on King Street, Clitheroe before the Second World War and the coach house at the rear became the practice premises for many years until the move to Princess Avenue in 1992. The farm team is still based in Clitheroe along with the pet practice branch. The 24 hour service for pet clients moved to Clayton Le Dale when we opened there in February 2009. Padiham branch was opened in 1984 and the purchase of Oswaldtwistle branch in 1994 further expanded the practice.
The Clayton Le Dale site is the centre for the small animal emergency service and is staffed 24 hours a day. A separate team of large animal vets supports farmers in an area covering East Lancashire and extending into Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and other parts of Lancashire. The farm division delivers the specialist service required by today's farmer. With a team of 24 vets and over 35 support staff, the practice continues to expand.
