About the Business
Historically, this was a single-handed practice in Windermere that was taken over by Tony Sansom in 1973. Since then the Practice has developed to the four vets, 'mixed' practice i.e. Although our main premises are at the Oakhill Veterinary Centre in Windermere, we also maintain a branch practice in Ambleside. We have Disabled access - Rails, ramps and wide doors provide easy access for wheelchair users. We have a disabled toilet just off Reception. The Waiting Room is spacious to help reduce the risk of our canine patients frightening our feline patients (and vive versa).
This is also helped by running an appointment only clinic, reducing the number of patients needing to wait at the same time. We have various displays of pet accessories, toys, food and informative notices and leaflets. The Reception is open all day and there is always a fully trained friendly member of staff available to speak to regarding appointment times, booking operations and provide general advice.
