About the Business
The Practice first started at the turn of the Century in York and was originally located in premises in The Crescent, York. Those premises were an adapted town house, which was quite usual for veterinary practices at the time. In 1985 the Practice was relocated to purpose built facilities at our current site in Salisbury Road. At that time the whole of the Practice functioned from the one location but small animal branch surgeries were later developed in Copmanthorpe and Haxby.
Further growth and development of the practice necessitated bigger and better facilities at the main site and this was redeveloped in 1998, which coincided with the relocation of the Equine Department to separate purpose built facilities in Upper Poppleton. The Practice continued to grow and develop, the Poultry Department developed a remote branch in Hereford in 2000, responding to a requirement for poultry veterinary services in the region.
